11 Great CD Covers – Get Inspired

All webdesigners need inspiration to do their job, I’m no exception. One of the things I’ve been using lately, besides other websites of course, is CD Covers.

CD covers gives me a great deal of new ideas because there’s no rules for Covers. They need to grab people’s attention and capture what the music is about but other than that it seems like Cover designers get a free pass to go mental!

As a webdesigner that helps me a lot, when I need to think outside the box. It so easy to get boxed in to the same routine of “I need a box here and 4 columns here to make it work.” Here are some of the great CD covers I’ve found lately.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Its Blitz
Just great, I like the music too.

M.I.A – Kala
Weird and pixelated but I like it.

Foo Fighters – Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace
Great idea.

Paolo Nutini – These Streets
Great style and color choice.

Menomena – Friend and Foe

Duran Duran – Rio

Architecture in Helsinki – Places Like This

Beastie Boys – To The 5 Boroughs

Lemon Jelly: Lost Horizons

Beastie Boys: The Mix Up

The Notorious B.I.G. – Duets: The Final Chapter

More Covers:

Sleevage.com – New covers all time and often there’s some background information.
Cover Designers – Flickr group with lots of talent.

That’s it for now 🙂
